API Developer - Flexi-Home Working

As an API Developer, you will be working as a back-end software developer on our public-facing API and our integrations with other APIs. You will deploy and monitor the API, ensuring it works in a DevOps style and coordinate with other developers and our business teams to understand requirements.

Your role

Within your role you will be the primary API Developer for our growing product. You will develop new business logic and export it in a Restful API / GraphQL that will be clean, clear, and user-friendly. You will document the API using the specification such that a third party can cleanly understand its function. Additionally, you will partition and track your work in sprints using an agile work process, tracking bugs and reporting the details in Asana. You will write automated tests for your API endpoint and monitor your API endpoints, responding to alerts if it is not performing within operations limits.

The ideal attributes

• Between 5-8 years of commercial experience
• Keen attention to detail
• Excellent verbal and written English
• Well organised and able to report on progress concisely
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or similar
• Experience in API design & development, configuration & deployment; API management.
• Understanding of API lifecycle
• API gateways installation & configuration and QA support
• Experience in Golang and GraphQL
• Experience in working in DevOps Environment/ Working with CI/CD pipeline
• Agile Development Experience
