Dubai is renowned for its impressive array of spectacular fountains

The Dubai Fountains are set on the Burj Khalifa Lake shooting water as high as 500ft. There are around 6,600 WET Super lights which can be seen from over 20 miles away; making it the brightest spot in the Middle East. Shows are scheduled for 13:00, 13:30, 18:00 and 23:00.

Burj Al Arab is the world’s most luxurious ‘7 star’ hotel and provides a private beach, four swimming pools and a helicopter pad. Booking a room or a table in the hotel’s nine restaurants is the only way you’ll get inside. Its impressive sail like design is already a spectacular sight.

Global Village is an ideal tourist destination providing both entertainment and cultural experiences. Its main attractions include live performances, multicultural cuisine, firework displays and a theme park.

Dubai offers many public transport options to help navigate the city. An abra is a small ferry boat, which carries around 20 people from one side of the creek to the other and has an average fare of around AED2.00 (£0.32). Their road network is the most popular form of transportation with taxis available from almost every street corner. Their public bus service has recently been extensively improved and provides a cheaper way to travel within the city. Dubai also has the world’s longest driverless metro system, which runs from 5:50 to 23:00, Monday to Friday and slightly later during the weekends.
