All you need to know about Abertillery

Abertillery is a large town in Wales. Part of the Ebbw Fach valley, it borders Brecon Beacons National Park, and is located roughly 25 miles from Cardiff by car.

Albertillery has a traditional look and feel characterised by quaint Victorian architecture. Back in the early 19th century the town experienced an industry boom led by coal mining and light engineering businesses. These days, many of its old buildings remain and can be visited freely. Landmarks include the Six Bells Mining Memorial, National Coal Museum and Blaenavon Ironworks. For those into nature, Abertillery offers its fair share of green spaces like the Cwmtillery Lakes and Pontypool Park. Other sites worth visiting are the Blaina Heritage Centre, along with Bedwellty House & Park. The town also plays host to a number of business parks, home to employers like Tyleri Valley Foods.

Albertillery offers regular bus services, and is partially covered by the Llanhilleth railway station, located just two miles outside the town.
