Transport in Rome

Rome is served by two airports, Fiumicino Leonardo da Vinci International Airport (FCO) and Rome Ciampino Airport (CIA). Both have international links, with the former the busiest airport in Italy and sixth in Europe. The easiest way from Fiumicino Airport to Rome is by train which takes around 30 minutes. With no direct connection from Ciampino Airport, the most efficient method is by taking the SitBus. When travelling in Rome, the metro network combined with buses offer the best solution. Much of central Rome is located in close proximity, meaning walking is often a viable method.
