All you need to know about Heidelberg

Heidelberg is a college town in German state of Baden-Württemberg. It lies to the south-west of the country, and is known for its academic status. It’s a popular tourist destination, home to beautiful streets and buildings like Heidelberg Castle and Philosopher’s Walk.

Heidelberg’s main commuting hub is Bismarckplatz. Here you’ll find various thoroughfares that intersect and run on into Heidelberg’s old town. Trams and buses are the main form of transport in Heidelberg, and can be boarded all over the city. The closest airports to Heidelberg are Frankfurt Airport and Stuttgart, both of which can be reached by train.

Popular landmarks include Market Square, Jesuitenkirche and the historic site Heidelberg Tun. Other attractions worth visiting include Carl Theodor Old Bridge to Bruckenaffe.
