All you need to know about Saint-Etienne

Saint-Étienne is a city located in the centre of France, just over 320 miles south of the capital Paris. The city is served by Saint-Etienne Andrézieux – Bouthéon which is approximately 20 minutes away from the city centre, the airport flies to limited locations but the nearby Lyon airport caters for a larger variety of international flights. The main train station is Châteaucreux and provides travellers with fast access to the city centre and also offers direct journeys to Paris in under 3 hours.

Saint-Étienne is rich in history and has three museums such as the vehicle museum Musée des sapeurs pompiers de la Loire. Other cultural locations include a planetarium called the Planétarium de Saint-Etienne, the Zénith and the Opéra Théâtre. The city is full of natural beauty which can be taken in on trails such as the Le bois d'Avaize. Saint-Étienne also holds the largest design biennale, in France which lasts around two weeks.
