Providing more space, flexibility, and privacy than traditional accommodation options, serviced apartments offer a great option for your business travel needs.

Ferrara traces its origins back to 6th century BC. It’s thought that the town began as a series of Byzantine settlements, clustered around the Cathedral of St. George. However, Ferrara’s first mention came in 753 AD, when it appeared in a document by Lombard king Desiderius.

During the Early modern period, Ferrara became an international cultural hub, famous for its music, literature, architecture and visual arts. By the late 18th century, Ferrara was the major University City and following that, a modest trade centre focused on things like sugar beet and industrial hemp. As the town has grown, so has its serviced accommodation and serviced apartments for business travel to the area. Many of those on business to the University and those trading are using this accommodation as their first point of call.

Today, Ferrara remains an attractive Renaissance city with wonderful museums, walking areas, cathedrals, historic sites and accommodation. Its top attractions include the Centro Storico, Museo Archeologico Nazionale, La Mura di Ferrara and the Piazza Cattedrale. Other sites worth seeing include the Parco Massari and Valle Mandriole. There are various different shops you can visit, depending on what you’re after. For gift items, head to the Ferrara Store, and, for food head to the Azienda Agricola Castellina.

Ferrara offers both train and bus links. Ferrara railway station is the town’s main station and is part of the Padua-Bologna railway. As many as 220 passenger trains are thought to pass through it each day. A number of buses also pass through Ferrara. The closest airport to Ferrara is Bologna Airport at roughly 26 miles away.
