Kazakhstan Serviced Apartments
Country Facts - Kazakhstan

The largest landlocked country in the world, Kazakhstan is located mostly in Central Asia and partly in Eastern Europe. It shares the world’s largest continuous land border with Russia, which spans over 4,600 miles. It also borders China to the east, as well as Kyrgyzstan, Turkmenistan, and Uzbekistan.

The country’s economy is fuelled by its success in the energy, oil and gas, and mining industries. Its international trade is also strengthened due to its 11 transcontinental routes that allow the country to transport goods to Europe three to four times faster than other routes. Kazakhstan has an Enhanced Partnership and Cooperation Agreement with the EU and this partnership accounts for 40% of the country’s external trade.

Astana is the country’s capital city and an important business hub; it houses the Astana International Financial Center, the Astana Business Campus, and Nazarbayev University. Atyrau is another major city in Kazakhstan, housing one of the largest oil refineries in the country operated partly by Chevron.
