Gold, copper and oil account of 75% of Papua New Guinea’s exports with the country mainly carrying out trade with countries including Australia, Singapore, Japan and China. Another notable sector within Papua New Guinea is agriculture, which contributes around 30% of the GDP and provides 85% of the population with a livelihood. In 2012 the country had the 10th fastest growing economy in the world.
