Andover is a town in Massachusetts, part of the Boston-Cambridge-Quincy Massachusetts-New Hampshire metropolitan statistical area. It lies 22 miles from Boston and approximately 30 miles away from Manchester, New Hampshire. It has a population of over 33,000 and is twinned with the town Andover in England. The main language spoken in Andover is English and the main currency used is the US Dollar. Andover falls within the Eastern Standard Time Zone and has a total surface area of 32.1 square miles. The history of Andover dates back to the 17th century. The town was founded in 1642 by a settler, John Woodbridge and incorporated in 1646.
