All you need to know about Saginaw

Saginaw is a city in Michigan, USA. It’s located close to the Saginaw Charter Township, and is part of the Tri-City area, together with Midland and Bay City. It has a population of more than 196,000, many of whom work in manufacturing.

Originally a lumber town, Saginaw has through ages developed into an important manufacturing centre focused on clean energy, innovation and manufacturing exports. Other concentration areas include production and photovoltaic technology research.

Saginaw is divided into various neighbourhoods including Northmoor, Heritage Square, Cathedral Square, Southwest Village and Downtown. Downtown is where you’ll find the city’s entertainment hub, known for us attractions as the Temple Theatre and The Dow Event Center. Other points of interest include the Castle Museum, Hoyt Library and the Saginaw Art Museum. If you’ve time, be sure to check out Ojibway Island, and the Children’s Zoo at Celebration Square.

Saginaw is served by two airports: MBS International Airport, and Bishop International Airport. It is also covered by three smaller airports, slightly further out. These are Harry W. Brown Airport, James Barstow Municipal Airport and James Clements Municipal Airport. Buses are a popular mode transport in Saginaw, and are provided by the Saginaw Transit Authority Regional Services (STARS) system.
