January marked our Lancaster team’s first year in their new, state-of-the-art office – Charter House. The team could not be more delighted with the modern and bright space, which set the perfect tone for a flourishing 2022/23.
The exciting move was first announced in 2020; SilverDoor’s sustained growth and successful acquisitions meant the Lancaster team required more space to grow and prosper. No location was better suited to this than one of Lancaster’s most sought-after buildings: Charter House, on Dalton Square.
Before the 40-strong team relocated from Fenton Street to Dalton Square, Charter House underwent a £1.5 million refurbishment to create a sleek and stylish space which did justice to our brand and people. To make this a reality, SilverDoor appointed Lancaster-based HPA Architects, and workplace design and build specialists TSK Group. These specialist teams collaborated to curate a bright, open-plan design that facilitated more streamlined communication and collaboration between departments.
After a year of carefully considered planning and construction, the Lancaster team moved into Charter House in January 2022. This was the prime environment to experience yet another record-breaking year for SilverDoor, and it continues to bring business and recruitment opportunities to the region.
Since opening, the inviting space has welcomed many members of our global team and valued property providers – hosting events, interactive workshops, and presentations. The fast growth of the Lancaster team, which originally moved into Charter House in 2022, is mirrored globally as SilverDoor is nearly 200-strong across our UK, Madrid, Denver, Singapore, and Hyderabad offices.
Since opening our Lancaster office in 2016, SilverDoor has continued to seize every opportunity to take an active role in the Lancaster community; both in the business community – with our Founder and Chairman as a board member of the Lancaster and District Chamber of Commerce – and the local community – as headline sponsors of Lancaster on Ice since 2021.
Altogether, the new Charter House office signalled an important step in the city’s development and set a new standard for commercial space in Lancaster. To further promote the serviced accommodation sector in the area, the upper floors of Charter House are currently being renovated to create a twenty-unit serviced accommodation scheme and become Lancaster’s first aparthotel.

2022 was an incredible, record-breaking year for SilverDoor. In terms of our people, it saw our Lancaster, Denver, Singapore, and Madrid teams all move to larger office spaces to accommodate our fast-growing global team. In terms of the sector, we successfully hosted our third annual Partner Engagement Day in The Gherkin, London, won numerous prestigious industry awards, and more.
We’re incredibly proud of our achievements in 2022 and look forward to an equally prosperous 2023.
