  • Q What qualities do you look for in a candidate?
    A: We look for candidates who fit our workplace culture and have the right skills needed for the role. Our SilverDoorians are honest, committed, driven, engaged, friendly, and thrive in a collaborative and progressive environment. There’s not a dull day here so pace and positivity is a must!
  • Q Will interviews be conducted remotely or in office?
    A: We typically begin the process with a video call interview that takes place via Teams. Candidates whose applications are progressed will be invited to attend a face to face interview in one of our offices. We much prefer meeting you in person and having the opportunity to get to know you, as you will get to know us. It is important for candidates to visit the office that they may be working in. Each situation can be unique so this can vary in some circumstances.
  • Q What should I prepare for my first interview?
    A: Whilst you needn’t prepare anything specific for the interview, we’d recommend having your CV at hand, as well as a copy of the job posting that you’ve applied to, and please ensure that you have done your research on the role and company.
  • Q I require adjustments to be made during the recruitment or interview process, how do I go about this?
    A: As an equal opportunity employer, we welcome you to advise us of any reasonable adjustments that you may require. Please discuss this with our Senior Recruiter or HR team when you are applying or coordinating an interview.
  • Q Can I apply for more than one job at a time?
    A: Yes, you can apply for multiple openings, however, we’d recommend carefully reading the requirements of the roles that are of interest and applying for the role that you think best matches your experience and skill set.
  • Q What should I wear during the interview?
    A: We like to make a good first impression, so we advise you to opt for smart dress for both video and face to face interviews.
  • Q How long does the hiring process typically take?
    A: You can expect our recruitment process to typically take 2 weeks once we have reviewed your application. However, we are not a ‘one size fits all’ team so this this timeline can vary depending on the of the role, interview schedules, and the number of applications received.
  • Q How long will interviews take?
    A: Each interview is different, but we expect first round video interviews to take between 20-40 minutes, with face to face interviews being between 30-60 minutes.
  • Q How soon will I know if a hiring decision has been made?
    A: We think it is right to give you a timely outcome so you should hear back from our Senior Recruiter within 72 hours following on from your interview. It may be the case that we have several candidates to meet so cannot give you an outcome until this has concluded.
