Bond Street

Few places in London do luxury shopping like Bond Street. Bounded by Piccadilly to the south and Oxford Street to the north, Bond Street is one of the city’s most iconic commercial hubs. The road itself is lined with designer shops, high-end jewellers and historic auction houses.

It is generally known that Bond Street has been a luxury retail hotspot since the 18th century. It is now thought to be one of the most sought-after strips of real estate in Europe. Typically awash with tourists, Bond Street offers unique access to two of central London’s most prestigious commercial zones.

Facts About Bond Street...

  • There is evidence of a Roman settlement around what is now known as Bond Street.
  • Bond Street has something of a fine literary status after being referenced in seminal novels such as Jane Austen’s Sense and Sensibility and Virginia Woolf’s Mrs Dalloway.
  • The thoroughfare known as Bond Street doesn’t actually exist. The road is split into New Bond Street and Old Bond Street, but there is no Bond Street.
