The Ritz

Based on Piccadilly in central London, The Ritz is one of London’s most iconic institutions. From glitzy high-tea rooms to the prestige of its private members’ club, the Ritz is famed for a lot of different things.

Opened in 1906, over 100 years ago, the Ritz has always been a symbol of luxury, grandeur and high society. Originally owned by Swiss Hotelier, Cesar Ritz, the London establishment was built in the style of the original one in Paris, built eight years earlier.

Known throughout the world for its opulent interiors and lavish furnishings, The Ritz London is on the doorstep of iconic landmarks such as Trafalgar Square, Buckingham Palace and Bond Street. Visitors can benefit from a range of luxurious perks such as the use of a chauffeur-driven Rolls Royce and great on-site restaurant facilities.

Despite its fascinating bank of history, the Ritz is also changing and evolving with the times. The establishment has taken measures to hugely reduce the impact it has on the environment. Since 2017, the Ritz has reduced its carbon footprint by 1,000 tonnes and made 96% of its lights LED.
