Guadalajara is a city in Jalisco, Mexico, part of the municipality, Guadalajara. It’s located to the centre of Jalisco and lies in the Western-Pacific region of Mexico. With a population of more than 1.4 million, it’s one of Mexico’s largest cities and a key hub for corporate housing and furnished apartments. It has a humid subtropical climate and is twinned with more than 40 towns and cities around the world. Guadalajara’s location as a city has changed a lot throughout history. The first recorded settlement came in 1532 in Mesa del Cerro, followed by another in Tonalá, and later Tlacotán. During that time Guadalajara was occupied by many including Archangel Michael – who, to this day, remains Guadalajara’s patron. In 1542, Guadalajara was granted its city status, and, since then has grown with the introduction of various new landmarks and industries, as well as the development of corporate housing in the city as a result of business travel to Guadalajara becoming more popular. From the 18th century onwards, Guadalajara has specialised in the production of agriculture and non-durable goods including shoes, food and textiles - which, in themselves, have helped the city's business travel reputation to soar.

Today, Guadalajara is a melting pot of great food, excellent museums and sublime architecture. Its popular attractions include the Expiatory Temple, Teatro Degollado, Guadalajara Cathedral and Los Colomos. Other sites worth seeing include the Basilica de Zapopan and Casa Colomos. Corporate housing in Guadalajara is located close to a wonderful range of sites and places to explore whilst staying in the city during free time.

Guadalajara joins a number of modern highways which connect to Mexico City, and the beach resorts Mazatlán, Puerto Vallarta and Manzanillo. It’s served by various forms of public transport including a metro system and a Bus Rapid Transit.
