Slough is located in the county of Berkshire, England, just 19 miles west of Charing Cross. The town lies on the other side of London's M25 motorway from Heathrow and has direct railway connections to Heathrow and London Paddington Station.
Slough Trading Estate help the town grow in 1925 and is easily accessible through a range of transport links making it an important business centre in South East England. Whilst ICI and Satchwell Control Systems are still major manufacturers on the estate, many factories have been replaced by offices for companies such as Mars, Nintendo, Black and Decker, and Amazon. The European HQ's of several IT companies, such as O2, have based themselves in Slough creating excellent employment opportunities.
Slough town centre is set to see some major redevelopment with the Heart of Slough project, a highly ambitious, multi-million pound plan to create a leading cultural quarter for creative media and communications industries. Work began in 2009 for completion in 2018.
