24 hours in Copenhagen : Our Serviced Apartment Roundup
13th April 2023

Earlier this month I travelled to one of our largest corporate cities in the Nordics; Copenhagen, where I visited some of our valued property partners and viewed a selection of serviced apartments in the Danish Capital.

The visits not only provided me with valuable product knowledge, and closer relationships with our property partners but also gave me a chance for a better understanding of serviced apartments in Copenhagen and the market which will lead to an improved service to our clients.

Discover a wrap-up of some of the Copenhagen serviced apartments I viewed below, and some handy tips when visiting the city, either on a short business trip or longer-term stays.

Business Trip to Copenhagen

If you are arriving by plane at Copenhagen Airport then there are a number of ways to get into the city, with the airport being very close to the centre. Copenhagen has an impressive metro system and it is incredibly easy to make your way around the city. From the airport, you can get into the central station in as little as 18 minutes via the 804 train or by travelling on the M2 metro line.

I made STAY Nordhavn my home during my business trip to Copenhagen which is in a fairly new and vibrant part of the city – Nordhavn.

Only a few minutes walk from Nordhavn metro station these corporate apartments could not be better placed to get settled into a city with a vast array of supermarkets, cafes, and restaurants nearby. On-site at the property there is also a coffee shop, a bar with drinks and snacks, a gym and further advancements including a restaurant to come.

STAY Copenhagen | Nordhavn | Kastellet |

STAY currently has four properties in Copenhagen and STAY Nordhavn is the latest addition to the portfolio. These Copenhagen serviced apartments are spacious and have balconies that give a very light and airy feel. The company really pay attention to detail as the apartments are very well presented and come fully equipped, down to a hand blender.

There is a 24/7 manned reception that makes the check-in process simple. Kastellet, a little closer to the city centre, is styled differently but its size does not diminish. Whilst there is no reception you can take advantage of on-site parking.

Kastellet is a little closer into the city centre of Copenhagan

Movinn | North Harbour Apartments

I met with Movinn to discuss expansion plans and how their extensive background in corporate relocation and property operation is adding to the already quality offerings in Copenhagen & beyond. I also was introduced to the wider Movinn team at their office and look forward to working with them closer in the future.

Consisting of two buildings; The Garden & The Tower, Charlottehaven, has apartments ranging from studios to two bedrooms and comes with a 24/7 reception, a large café restaurant, gym, meeting and communal workspace and a large outside courtyard.

All the serviced apartments in The Garden building have balconies or terraces and are very large. In the newer block, 'The Tower' you'll find mostly studio apartments, all are fully equipped with great facilities, and some even boast amazing views of the picturesque harbour.

Forenom | Skindergade | Trepkasgade |

Forenom has a large presence in Copenhagen and a vast array of serviced apartment types meaning that there is an option for almost any type of traveller. The corporate apartments I viewed were very central, pleasantly designed and well-equipped.

Tips for visiting Copenhagen city, for the Corporate Traveller

  • There are some great restaurants in the city but be prepared to book in advance to avoid disappointment

  • Whilst there is a smoking ban in all public indoor areas in Denmark, there is an exception for establishments with an area of less than 40 square metres and do not serve fresh food meaning people can smoke in some smaller pubs

  • The transport system is very reliable and you can purchase a Rejesekort card that can be topped up to get you around the city

  • It is very easy to get around the city walking – or even better by bicycle – it is known as the best bike city in the world

  • It gets very cold in the winter months so make sure to pack appropriately, especially if you plan to travel between the months of October to April
